Cool Science!  Cold, cold science deep in the Arctic Ocean.

Learn more about the instruments used to map the continental shelf, ocean floor and water patterns in the Arctic!   This rossetta collects 7 different types of samples as it is slowly raised from the bottom of the ocean back up to the ship.

These scientist are busy doing serious work but also get to enjoy some breathtaking views and exciting sightings!

Teacher at Sea, Émilie Hérbert-Houle breaks it down nicely in her blog about the Canada’s Extended Continental Shelf Program, in her blog in English and French.
