Liam is a student who hungers for knowledge. His fascination with biology led him to study ecology independently, and consequently modern humanity’s impact on the environment. Outside of a school environment, he chose to research topics such as Thermohaline Circulation that directly coincide with knowledge, or lack thereof, of the Arctic. His love of biology has led him learn as much as he possibly can about both the properties of water and organisms—both topics that are entirely encompassed by the course of life in the Arctic. His knowledge and love for all biology will help him better understand the consequences of Climate Change that will likely appear in his lifetime. The Arctic should present to Liam a rarely fulfilled opportunity to observe firsthand, and, one would hope, to act upon the disastrous effects of our evident ignorance as a species concerning the health of our planet.
