Hannah Boomer

Hi there! My name is Hannah and I’m from the nation’s capital, Ottawa. I just completed my bachelors degree in physical geography at Queen’s University, and I am very excited to return in the fall for teachers college, specializing in outdoor and experiential education, with a dream of teaching high school in an outdoor setting. For many summers, I worked as a camp counselor and canoe guide soaking up the beauty of the Ontario landscape. Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to work as a hydrology research assistant studying the Apex River near Iqaluit, Nunavut. This summer I am super excited to be back in the Arctic! When I am not studying for school or working, I can be found doing anything outside or playing sports. My favorite pastimes include canoeing, hiking, swimming, skiing, and hanging out with my dog, an adorable and super hyper Australian Shepard named Chi, like the Chi-square statistic!
