Anna lives with her older brother and parents in San Francisco, California and will be entering the 11th grade at Lowell High School this fall. Anna loves animals and is the co-founder of a student-run animal club. She frequently volunteers at the local SPCA animal shelter where she socializes cats and dogs and helps with adoptions. She has also started earning money as a dog walker and animal sitter in the surrounding neighborhoods. Anna is passionate about the environment and wants to learn more about the wildlife in the Arctic. While on expedition, she is looking forward to making friends and seeing many different species of animals and capture amazing pictures and videos of life in the Arctic. Anna wants to learn about different outdoor skills, the arctic environment, and how climate change will affect wildlife globally. She hopes to learn and retain as much information about the Arctic as possible and by bringing it back to her community, enable others to help drive a change of behavior.
