SOI Alumni at COP21

Students on Ice (SOI) would like to recognize several SOI alumni who have come together at COP21 in Paris, each representing different organizations, but all with the same goal of learning, collaborating and contributing to the voices of urgency for global action on climate change.

Since SOI began 15 years ago, more than 2,500 youth and educators from 52 countries have participated in SOI’s life-changing expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. Through hands-on learning with world renowned scientists, educators and visionary leaders, SOI has created a platform for polar education and youth engagement that is fostering generations of educated, inspired and empowered youth whose connection with the Polar Regions and understanding of the environmental, social and political landscape is shaping their perspectives and impact on our world.

Here is a glimpse at some of these amazing alumni participating in COP21 this week!
