Participant Resources

Welcome to the 2018 Arctic Expedition Team!

Our expedition team will be made up of 120 international secondary and post-secondary students, and 80 staff who are polar experts, scientists, Inuit elders, artists, musicians, educators, business and industry leaders, politicians, and innovators. Your efforts, interests and passion have led you to become a part of this extraordinary team – congratulations and welcome! This incredible journey and experience would not be possible if not for you.

You will soon learn that there is no other place in the world like the Arctic. However, a Students on Ice (SOI) expedition is about so much more. Through new friendships, new ideas, and new perspectives, we will be on a journey of exploration and understanding of self, community, and our larger world.

To help you prepare for your upcoming expedition with us, please review your Expedition Orientation Package. The tabs on the left side of the page also include essential information about our journey and you are responsible for reviewing them carefully. Please feel free to contact us at SOI headquarters if you have any questions.

We look forward to helping you prepare for the expedition and meeting you in July.
