The 2020 Arctic Expedition begins in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador where we will explore the easternmost city in North America, connect as a team, board our expedition vessel and set sail! The team will engage in ship and land-based workshops along the entire eastern coastline of Newfoundland and Labrador, and experience cultural, historic, and natural treasures along the way including communities and coasts of Nunatsiavut and Torngat Mountains National Park Base Camp and Research Station. Our expedition will end in the vibrant city of Iqaluit, Nunavut’s capital city, where we will board our charter flights back to Ottawa.
We are currently exploring the possibility of stopping in St. Pierre and Miquelon, the French territory off the coast of Newfoundland. Due to our partnership with Parks Canada, we are going to be visiting Gros Morne National Park on the Western side of Newfoundland and St. Pierre and Miquelon could provide an educational stop along the way. While this is not yet confirmed, it is important that all our participants are prepared with insurance, passports and visas.
