My name is Lyric Oblin-Moses and I am from the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee, James Bay area located in northern Quebec. In my high school graduation year, I was a part of the 2015 SOI Arctic expedition, where I felt eternally grateful to witness the resiliency of Arctic northern communities and hear their stories. I’m now entering my final year of university and will be graduating with a Bachelor in Science with a specialization in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa. I hope to use this platform to contribute facilitating meaningful dialogues that address the complexity of climate change and how it relates to human experiences. Climate Action means taking meaningful strides to engage all individuals to combat climate change and move towards environmental justice by including young people, Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and high-risk populations in these conversations. Miigwetch.
