As a former university professor in evolutionary ecology and population genetics and founder of Biosphere Environmental Education, I am truly passionate about education. I love teaching at all levels, ranging from kindergarten to university graduate students. I am also deeply passionate about conserving earth’s natural environments and the species in them. So I use my expertise in biology combined with my love of photography to connect people with nature, to try to inspire them to appreciate and preserve it. I especially love ‘visual storytelling’ – using photos and video to communicate environmental messages and make an emotional connection with the viewer. From the the sub-arctic of Canada to the south island of New Zealand and lots in between, I’ve been fortunate to visit some amazing places. In my spare time, I love hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, photography, and gardening.
