I am a research scientist in the Palaeo Environments, Ice Sheets and Climate Change group at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, UK. I work in both the Arctic and Antarctic, investigating the way that climate change is registered in the lakes of these remote areas. I spend lots of time fixing weather stations on the Greenland Ice Sheet, and also coring the lakes of the windswept sub-antarctic islands. I also work as a painter and printmaker, trying to capture the amazing, changing landscapes I work in. I divide my time between Cambridge, Switzerland, and Canada, and love spending time in the outdoors, skiing, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. On SOI, I am a zodiac driver, an art workshop leader, a climate change educator, and one of the early morning door-knocking wake up crew!
