SOI alumnus Donovan Taplin is an ambassador for the ACIC Active-8 campaign!

SOI alumnus Donovan Taplin (Arctic and Antarctic 2010) is working with the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation as a Global Youth Ambassador for ACIC’s annual Active-8 campaign. And he needs our support!

Simply click Donovan’s profile at the following link:

Once there, you can watch his video and read his profile to learn more about him and get inspired… OR just click on the “act now” button and submit your action!

Each action made through the profile page of an Active-8! Ambassador will be counted towards a running tally of acts they have inspired. Whichever one of them has the most actions attributed to their work by 11:59pm on February 28th, 2013 will win $1000. This winner will be announced on March 1st. So let’s all pitch in and help Donovan out!

Having traveled to the Polar Regions with Students on Ice, Donovan was motivated to educate others. He’s inspired by the sight of collapsing glaciers, endangered penguin colonies, polar bears looking for food on rocky islands, and the thought of working to ensure sustainability for current and future generations.

“I want to live in a world where people have the courage to inspire others, by telling their story,” he says.
