PolarCatalyst is a website maintained by the Students on Ice Foundation.
As a registered charity, Students on Ice (SOI) upholds professional standards of accountability, confidentiality and respect. At SOI we demonstrate the impact of your gift through regular communications, reports and events. We also ensure that our staff and alumni understand the crucial role our donors play and Students on Ice promotes ongoing communication of SOI and alumni projects, their successes and impact on a local and global level.
SOI’s many programs and activities help to provide life-changing expeditions to the Polar Regions for the world’s youth. SOI expeditions are a catalyst for social and environmental change and many alumni, with a stronger global awareness, go on to make a difference across disciplines and around the world. In collaboration with our many and diverse alumni, partners and supporters, SOI continues to support our young and adult alumni throughout their journey. SOI’s micro funding site, PolarCatalyst, provides a platform to directly fund this effort.
In compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, SOI collects your personal information for tax purposes and to provide communications of SOI initiatives through our quarterly newsletters (should I also add that we provide project-specific updates to donors?). We do not sell or trade our donor lists. You can request that your gift remain anonymous.
