Learn more about the instruments used to map the continental shelf, ocean floor and water patterns in the Arctic! This rossetta collects 7 different types of samples as it is slowly raised from the bottom of the ocean back up to the ship.
#NRCan’s Extended Continental Shelf project and SOI alumna Emilie Herbert-Houle just launched #Canada150 at the #NorthPole using a CTD and styrofoam cups. The cups, after being nicely decorated, were lowered to the depth of 4300M. Check out the images the #TeacheratSea took to document the shrinkage! #CanArctic
