Canada C3 Documentary Release

A message from the President and Founder of the Students on Ice Foundation:

During the election, I found myself thinking a lot about what we experienced on Canada C3. Over 150 days and 25,000km, C3 brought together diverse Canadians from coast to coast to coast on a historic expedition connecting to each other, and to the past, present and possible future of Canada. Throughout the journey from Toronto to Victoria via the Northwest Passage, we experienced moments of awe & wonder, sorrow & joy, challenge & success, and of hope and inspiration as we realized, above all, there is so much more that unites us than divides us.  We also experienced and witnessed extraordinary examples of the enormous promise and possibility across this vast country.

This Monday, October 28th will mark the second anniversary of the completion of the Canada C3 sailing journey.  Since then the legacy journey has continued in so many ways with new partnerships, friendships, programs, initiatives, the C3 book, the C3 multimedia exhibition, and the C3 documentary.  Since its launch on Canada Day 2018, the documentary has been screening to audiences across Canada and around the World.  Today, I am very happy to share that the Canada C3 documentary is now available (French & English versions) for all to view. You can use the link below to view and download the documentary. Please feel free to share with your friends, family, school, community, office…and more.

I hope this film fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of our country, its people, places, environment, and cultures, and serves as a reminder that our diversity is our strength. As referenced by one of our C3 participants in the film, ‘we don’t all need to be in the same canoe, just as long as we are paddling in the same direction, we can arrive at a stronger Canada together.’

I also want to share that there are some incredible K-12 educational resources available on the C3 Digital Classroom!  https://canadac3.ca/en/digital-classroom/ and plenty of other incredible content on the main Canada C3 website www.canadac3.ca.  They are yours to use…
