Good afternoon! It was a day of hugs and kisses and tears and laughter today - as the team said goodbye and flew their separate ways. Picking them up this morning at Leeds House and checking them into the airport - it was impossible to imagine that this was the same, quiet nervous bunch of participants who we picked up at the airport, way back on Aug 3. They even have their own language now - and continually referred to events and people on the expedition - details that you will have to glean from your own expeditioner once they arrive home, sadly, that kind of camraderie and colour was just impossible to convey in these updates. This is a great, great, great bunch of students.
Students and chaperones have been zipping up to and flying out of Ottawa International Airport all morning and afternoon. And so far there have been no delays - and all is going well!
This afternoon, Geoff Green, some students who were awaiting evening flights and several of our education team were on hand for a special "welcome home" event at the National Capital Commission in downtown Ottawa. The NCC is one of our partners and sponsors the Canadian Geographic Magazine contest. You will see some photos from that event posted in our Post Journey upates soon!
We have updated yesterday's Iqaluit's visit with some great photos!

EXPEDITION UPDATE: Ottawa, Ontario
Today is a busy travel day! Many of our students flew home from Iqaluit yesterday, but the majority will be picked up here at Leeds House at Carleton University or will be checked on to their flights at the airport.
To put you in the "travel mode" - here are some images from last night's flight home from Iqaluit!

Stay tuned for Post Expedition Images and more journals!
