Students on Ice 2014 Antarctic Expedition
The 2014 Students on Ice Antarctic expedition is our 15th Annual journey to the bottom of the world! It will undoubtedly be a profound hands-on and life-altering experience for youth to expand their knowledge of Antarctica’s global importance, foster a new understanding and respect for the planet, and gain understanding, inspiration and motivation needed to help lead us to a healthy and sustainable future.
This ship-based expedition will bring together 66 high school and university students from around the world with 23 inspiring scientists, educators, artists, musicians, CEO’s, polar experts and innovators.
Immersed in awe-inspiring nature and engaged in cross-disciplinary activity, each day of our journey will be filled with exploration and discovery…and a few penguins! We will also be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance Expedition, including a visit to Elephant Island!
Please explore this website for information about the 2014 Students on Ice Antarctic Expedition. Meet our global team of students and staff, and beginning on December 25th, check back regularly for expedition updates including photos, videos and student blogs!
Happy Holidays to all! We look forward to sharing our journey with you.
