Bridget is an alumna of the 2011 Arctic Expedition and currently lives in Halifax/K’jipuktuk, Mi’kmaq Territory. She has remained involved with SOI by participating in the Students on Ice Alumni Delegation to the RIO +20 Earth Summit, and she also worked as the Expedition Intern for the Arctic 2014 Expedition. Bridget completed both her undergraduate (Bachelor of Arts in Environment, Sustainability & Society and Canadian Studies) and graduate (Master of Arts in Canadian History) degrees at Dalhousie University. Bridget now works as the Engagement & Retention Coordinator at the College of Sustainability at Dalhousie. She is currently training to be a full spectrum doula with Doula Training Canada. Bridget’s expedition experience led her to her passion of history and storytelling. As a member of the Alumni Council, Bridget will work towards engaging alumni in Atlantic Canada while also working on a number of smaller projects to support others!
