Lisa is an archaeologist who has done fieldwork in England, Arctic Norway, Patagonia, Newfoundland and Churchill, Manitoba. Over the last decade, she has been involved in community-based archaeology on Banks Island in Canada’s western Arctic. She has welcomed this opportunity to learn about Inuvialuit culture and history from the community members whose ancestors she studies. Recently, she joined forces with a team of Inuvialuit community organizations, museums, anthropologists and archaeologists to expand the Inuvialuit Living History website ( www.inuvialuitlivinghistory.ca ). She works at the University of Western Ontario where she is Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology.
