I have been teaching in the Yukon for 18 years. For the last 6 years, I have been teaching an experiential and inquiry-based learning program called FACES to Grade 10 French immersion students. Throughout the semester-long program, I support my students while they step out of their comfort zone. They are presented with many situations that challenge their limits: canoeing in whitewater, biking 100 km over a mountain pass in a single day, camping in the winter and waking up at -20 C. I recognize their successes, I support them when they want to give up, I am their ally and their mentor. I love learning and laughing! I really enjoy cross-country skiing, bike touring, mountain biking and canoe playing + tripping. My playmates are most often my daughter Sophie, who is 10 years old, and my partner David. Life is beautiful!
