Becky currently resides in Iqaluit, NU where she works with the Qikiqtani Inuit Association as the Inuit Impact Benefit Agreement (IIBA) Manager. As IIBA Manager, Becky oversee the day to day implementation of the impact benefit agreement for the Mary River Project.
Becky has recently completed a MA in Geography at Carleton University. Her research focused on the sharing of Inuit knowledge between Elders and youth and the use of land-based camps to facilitate learning.
Becky also enjoys sewing and creating jewellery using seal skin and other materials. She has also been a throat singer and drum dancer for the past 16 years. She is an advocate for Inuit culture and has travelled around the world sharing and educating others about Inuit culture.
